Haunted House and October Events
We need volunteers to work our annual Haunted House!
Lot’s of fun being on the scaring side…we have been named the Best Haunted House for many years. We are family friendly and not demonic. We do not touch or strive to injure physically or mentally. Just a good old fashion scare. A fun scare. Interested? This year’s umpteenth annual Haunted House will be 6 days long – October 26ththrough the 31st. Wednesday, October 26th will be a Media Night and not open to the public (short night). Thursday, October 27th is opening night and run through Halloween night. Monday, October 31st…duh? Can’t do every night? That’s cool. After a couple good nights you’ll want to be there every night…seriously.
On busy nights we take actor breaks and will have drinks and refreshments/food available…hoarseness happens…the Maze is outdoors which really adds to the experience. We need all types of folks/characters so give us a call.(325) 672-2977 This Haunted House has been running for almost 20 years and only didn’t open once due to a fire. Come on out and get in on the fun!
14th. Jimmy Ninja Show at 8 pm. A multi-talented local artist who brings his unique take on reggae to rock.
15th. Rocky Horror Picture Show featuring eMotion Entertainment and the Untamed Things and from Waco, the Waco Warp. 8 pmsound and lights show. 10:45 Pre-show ceremonies and costume contests. 11 pm. Rocky Horror Picture Show with a combination of two shadow casts
20th. Tye Dye Clinic at 6 pm. Need an outfit for Halloween? Just want to learn how to tye dye…bring what you want to
dye and we’ll help and teach. Know how – we’ll provide everything needed.
21st. Lank and the Shanks at 8 pm. We’ve got out of town guests that you’ve got to see! They’re better every time we see them. Very true rock band with a killer groove.
22nd. K.T. and the Blues Scientists at 8 pm. A real live Blues Revue. Not only entertaining but educational in the depth of material and musicianship. Blues fans don’t want to miss this.
27 – 31. The Annual (almost 20 years) Haunted House: The Labyrinth of Horror. It’s a whole new layout and maze with major improvements to what has been voted the Best Haunted House in Abilene many times and this year is expected to be off the charts! A good, fun scare.
28th. Chris Joudah at 8 pm. Local singer/songwriter with a real 90's feel cranks it up for the spooky season.
29th. The Upteenth annual Pumpkin Ball featuring Three Shades Blue at 8 pm. These guys are ready for the big time with their arena rock and roll of all originals. Might hear a little Pink Floyd and a major dose of Red Dirt R&R with a new album almost ready for release. If you haven’t seen this local gem don’t miss the show!
There are changes and additions to the fun this season at the Park that will add to the fun and games you can have with your family and friends. More to come on this lil’ morsel of a hint of things to come.
